HOW PROFOUND COMMUNICATIONS’ EXPERTISE ENABLED TECH-2-WORK TO SUCCESSFULLY GAIN CREDIT UNION CUSTOMERS

Opportunity
Tech-2-Work is a for-profit independent firm offering electronic and Internet services. Their business plan was to penetrate the credit union marketplace.

Solution
Recognizing that there was an opportunity both for the credit unions and Tech-2-Work, Profound helped Tech-2-Work reach its target market. Tech-2-Work was interested in approaching credit union decision makers to offer their products and services, but primarily employed trade-show attendance as its marketing methodology. As a specialty firm that realizes the unique nature of financial institutions, Profound was able to work with Tech-2-Work to design a market strategy to help them expand their book of business. Profound’s plan for Tech-2-Work would help them avoid spending money that would not net results. Profound provided Tech-2-Work an analysis of their credit union-specific competitors – how they acquired customers, products and services they offer and any strategic analysis. Profound then helped Tech-2-Work distinguish itself as a specialty provider to credit unions.

In addition to the complete marketing plan and strategy, Profound provided resources to Tech-2-Work that included a complete, electronic as well as printed database of all credit unions in the country that included address, phone, fax and e-mail of decision makers. The plan to contact decision makers directly was far more targeted than the previous tradeshow strategy and yielded superior results.

Result
Profound created a targeted approach that enabled Tech-2-Work to save time and money in the implementation of their marketing program. The comprehensive plan also enabled Tech-2-Work to assign an annual budget to their internal efforts.
