Summit Credit Union (Madison, WI | $700m) and Great Wisconsin CU (Madison, WI |$400m), formerly known as CUNA CU, have announced plans to merge to become Wisconsin's largest credit union. The merger is scheduled to complete in January 2008. First Service Federal Credit Union (Groveport, OH | $99m) will purchase two former Sky Bank branches in the Columbus market. The branches will be located in Columbus and Gahanna, a suburb of Columbus. Sky Bank recently merged with Huntington Bank. The branch acquisition was part of an overlap of facilities between Sky and Huntington.
